Hello there, 

I am struggling with adapting new cluster instead of faulty one in my TT from year 2001

I was able to read out eeprom from both modules, transfered the mileage with no problem but when trying to adapt cluster into a car, it gives me error.

Since I have both PINs old and new, I thought it would be an easy swap... ok... its not

Even when three programs showed same PIN for the dash, when i go with VCDS 17 - login - pin of the new cluster in 5-number format, it shows error like the pin is BAD. When I wait for the security time to count to 0 and try the old pin, same error... is there any special procedure? 

Both cluster have immo 3, I see bad VIN and IMMO code in new dash which is OK, thats why i want to adapt it but it fails every single time on "refused acces code" message after login... 

Can anybody help me please?

Nothing special on these. Even you can just write old eep to new dash. Or transfer only immodata, everything is in plain format.

Well... there has to be something strange - why would it decline PIN that has been read from eeprom?

I was able to read old dash by OBD, new dash just failed so I had to read the MCU on table.

Also, I got different part numbers of old and new dash so AudiDasheditor showed it cannot transfer immodata.

Transfer manually, everything is visible on dumps.

I would like to try to transfer keys info as well but when i search for the keys address, there are different numbers of positions and also, on ori eeprom, i cannot find any single one key address. Is it ok?
