BMW DME and CAS with wrong chassis number
Hi,
my workshop ordered the DME and CAS for an X6 with the wrong chassis number. Part Number is correct but chassis was coded wrong. Any way to make both blank and reprogram? |

RE: BMW DME and CAS with wrong chassis number
If you have the tools, yes you can.
By the way, if you have the proper tool, you don't need to order new DME or CAS, used ones can do the same job |

RE: BMW DME and CAS with wrong chassis number
Check Autohex II.
http://www.micro-tronik.com/scan-tools-p...-software/ You can install old ECU in the car, then by OBD II, you can read ISN. After that you write this ISN in the CAS (OBD II). If you want to change VIN in DME, just code the ECU, vin will be written automatically. If you want to change CAS VIN, go to CAS replacement, and you can change CAS VIN and CAS key frequency. If DME not compatible (3000 CC for engine 2400 CC for example), go to programming and do Flashing of that DME. |
