UPDATE 3:

Clarifications
Uploaded Ista Stand Alone msi(installer) - Fixed for it too DO NOT ask for license during installation.
Uploaded ISTA_UNPATCHED_Version - meaning use ista-patcher because you will need to input your own language during patching.
ISTA that i uploaded DOES NOT include programing/coding data, because i though of for it be used for diag, if you need PSDZ_data Username " hashtagmaster " >>>HERE<<< maintains it vary good and uptoday (i would have uploaded PSDZ_Data but with my internet connection by the time i would upload it, the new version will come out and those will defeat my upload time and bandwidth, not everyone have a good internet in 2024 as TV may make you think)

Recently i came across a project on GitHub that's patching ISTA and though to share it with other forum users.
Keep in mind that It's work in progress check on GitHub for updated version report if such exists.

You can make it work via 3 ways that i know of.
Other forum users are welcome to share their own know-how.

First way is bit longer then, Second way a bit faster.

For future updates
Best Way if you(or someone you know of) have ISTA ilean license installed then it's much easier to update and maintain, since Stand-A-Lone version DOES NOT updates SQL-DBs and making it full as it should and rather just adds smaller SQL-DB version.

You could either download Older Stand Alone via this forum or use torrent search site and download other ISTA builds via torrent, then use IstaLauncherConsole_v1.2.4.11 to update SDP BLP and SQL-DBs

SQL DB files are been installed new with every version and when updated it's been injected and expended with every version ( it's best to have MAIN VERSION SQL and wait until new version comes-up and NO intermediate versions) unless you have ilean installed and activated on one machine and then after you just copy/past on to another machine

To modify original ISTA APP(on this forum can be downloaded) use SuperOrca(attached)
Follow pictures(attached) modify two tables from 19 to 65 and add WixCA in both locations
ISTA_APP_Stand-Alone(attached)


Notes:
EDIABAS:
7.3 For older car
7.6 For newer Car
or older 6.4.3/6.4.7(mostly used by icom ver.1 or d-can)
So either have two copies or use ECC(attached) to adjust setting

By default ISTA uses Stealth Mode if license is not provided

New Gen needs to learn and try as well.

My free time is almost exclusively spent on the "iLean online" project, I think I've already invested enough in standalone.

Why should you provide everything ready-made for the new generation, you don't learn that way. There are enough examples of how to patch it, I learned exactly that with reverse engineering. The project from TautCony shown above is already based on my last free versions, with the difference that he completely overdoes it with the patching, as he apparently has no idea what is being patched for what.

Besides, there's no point in investing in a project that has no future, what else can you do with offline ISTA with newer cars?

That is correct my friend, people just need to pay for you good work, i am client from you and i will stay always, and its sick that people want all for free, because i know how much work and time you put in all this, and its more than normall that you get paid for this.

I am just a little fish in the ocean, us who work everyday as technicians have future for your tools and your work greatly helps us as you can't imagine, the other option is online which is slow and not practical sometimes.

I can't say the same from a single BMW owner who works on it once in a while and changes brand next time he buys a car.

As stated before I use it for diagnosis only it's way faster than online.
Me been in a professional field and because I buy parts from BMW and they give me warranty I only use online for programming but while using it ties ISTA for a while so my other option it's yours offline then I can still keep working on diagnosis.

Anyways many thanks for your help and work and can bet you in this forum are many guys/gals who greatly appreciate your work.
