Hey Guys,

I would like (have) to update my Ista, I'm still running 4.09.13 from 12/2017 and that works really fine.
(I remember how hard it was to get it working, Dozens of hours)

I have now downloaded ISTA+ 4.46.5x (DELTA) and have some Questions:

I'm running Win7 on the Laptop, will it work? (read something about Win10 needed)
If not what is the latest Version that works with Win7?
Or maybe I try 2 Win Systems with a Bootloader, wont touch my Win7 because of many other Diagnosis Systems, but have a cloned HD to test.
What else do I need, Patcher, Launcher, License, newest Standard Tools aso? Is there a Step by Step anywhere?

From what I have read, it has definitely not become easier...

get W10 - download and install 4.39.20 - then install the global delta (4.46.1x) or whatever version you need and follow the instructions for ista patcher. You cant start with 4.46.5x unless you are already using 4.46.4x.

i don’t understand why people are still on W7 - why not stay on XP or 98? Geez - update Windows already to at least 10 and go from there.

Will my KME (LPG) Soft work with Win10?
Will my Prins VSI (LPG) Soft work with Win10?
Will BRC Sequent (LPG) Soft work with Win10?
Will my Delphi Diagnosis work with Win10?
Will BMW-Scanner run with Win10?

BMW WDS Wiring Diagramms > don't work with Win10 (Ista is more than uncomfortable for wiring)
BMW old TIS > difficult
Do I have the time or desire to spend 50 hours in front of the laptop to possibly get it all working again > not really.

..and then there is the saying: Never touch a running System  why updating if not needed? The i5 Laptop is very fast with win7, will not be faster with Win10. We'll see.

Yes yes, no one here can read early E34 or E36. Well, if you don't count hundreds of people who have legit ICOM with proper ICOM C adapter... And then hundreds of people who also have ADS and then hundreds of people who have other interfaces which have both K & L lines... OK, I understood. No point to continue discussion.

You can use ISTA in Win7 also, there is a Win7 patch, but you need to have a preinstalled version. 

An i5 laptop is fast with Win10 also, as long as you have an SSD at least.

Having an ADS interface is not a feat, it's been around for ages.

TIS works perfectly on W10, Delphi also, BMW Scanner too. I use them on W10 with no issues. Even on X64

Sure ADS isn't a clue now, I have to change Jumpers in my ADS for OBD mode for 1991's and change HD, where is a really old Inpa, for running, with the other little newer XP-Disk > no connection...

But I know why you left out WDS and whether the older LPG programs work, why try if not needed?

Can someone give me some advice about that Licence, think I have to buy it. Will I fall off the couch when I hear the price? Gladly PM.

Ok, ADS has 3 Jumpers, I have to set my one in OBD-Mode, ADS is for cars from 94 or 95 as I remember...

WDS online is Russian, only with translator, and not everything will translated, and most importantly my Diag-laptop is not online. No internet in my workshop.

Sooo I did a lot of search, downloading and reading, 20 hour or more gone... have now 4.32.15 here, (@home) on my desktop Win10, installed. 
4.39.2 I didn't find here in the Forum, but now I also have.

Read that I could update BLP to 4.4x.xx, tried copy and paste on my 4.32 > don't work, questions:

- How Do I update the BLP, maybe Istalauncher? (never used)
- Do I need License when updating BLP on 4.39.2?
- Can I then read newer cars (than 4.39.20) with the updated BLP?
