After you remove your 3.47.10 you can use this new release from Beemerboy. Read instructions !

RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.25
I have the same message :
"Error : The vehicle could not be identified. Please check the access to the vehicle and check whether the testing-analysis etc."

What I did are :
1. I went to VCI settings and choose the 1st option which is Ediabas
2. Click into identify button the I can see the light is red on the cable. (I think in this case the Com is set up correctly)
3. The Ediabas was working in background

I may need to check which version Ediabas I have installed because people suggest only greater then 7.3 will works with Rheingold.

Also check pin 7-8 actually I don't know about that until read this article

Can you suggest me what I need to do with Ediabas folder in the Rheingold and the Ediabas which I have installed? (Do we have to override that or moving thing around.)

Do I need to set the cable in D-CAN or any mode by K+DCAN utility?

Some people suggest change folder of Ediabas in Rheingold config. Also can I have the link of Ediabas 7.3 or latest one please.

Thanks

RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.25
So I should install a new Ediabas in C drive and leave Ediabas in Rheingold there. Do you know we need to setup something with K+DCAN Utility?

From BMW Standard Tools, install only Ediabas (7.3), make sure to select the box that says USB to Serial and you will need to set COM Port 9

Here are my Ediabas & obd .ini files from my Ediabas folder, if you'd like copy them to your Ediabas --> bin folder

Also make sure, under Device Manager --> Ports, right click USB Serial Port (COM 9) and select Properties --> Port Settings tab --> Advanced and make sure it looks something like this:

Sorry if instructions are a little confusing.

RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.25
I think I have set up correct because the cable have signal and the led is change when I click identify button. The last thing I will try is use K+DCAN Utility and set it in DCAN and check the pin 7 + 8. I don't know for rheingold + BMW X1 E84 do we need to solder pin 7 and 8 ?

General rule is >2007 = unbridged 7/8

Most people install a switch instead of soldering so it can be used on old and new cars.

RE: Rheingold Standalone 3.51.25
Sorry just a last one. Do I need to modify Ediabas.ini in the Rhleingold\Ediabas ? because once, Rhleingold is running I see the dialog of Ediabas showing it using INI in c:\Ediabas\Ediabas.ini and application using is folder in c:\Rhleingold\Ediabas.
Is that correct?
