Hello beemerboy88, since you are very skilled and know these programs inside out, I'm asking whether is possible to make the detection in ISTAD more simple.

For example the Inpa KDCAN cable is able to show in Inpa the real status of Ignition On or Off.
So is it possible to show up in ISTAD as 14v when Ignition is turned on and 0V when Ignition is turned off?
I noticed you made it to read the real voltage values from ICOM when the ISTA4 Voltage Control.exe is closed, instead if you make it read the registry value from:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMWGroup\ISPI\Rheingold\TesterGUI.xVM_VCI_DefaultInterfaceType"

it should allow real voltage reading if value="ivm" meaning ISTAD is using ICOM
and it should show 14V or 0V if value="ediabas" meaning ISTAD is using Inpa KDCAN cable and ignition is either On or Off

not sure if I explained the suggestion correctly and if it's possible to accomplish, I would try to do it myself but I don't know where to start

cheers!

Not planning to change anything for now. The KL15 on/off button simulates ignition so it's simple to use.

This tool is version specific. New version made but not for public release. Try node's tool instead.
