I have done this like described in the manual, but still this fault (like #1)?!
Using ENET.
Also coding in ISTA+ is not working, fault in measuring plan occurred, but no further description.
Rest of ISTA+ runs fine.

Most likely EDIABAS is not configured correctly.

ISTA+ requires ICOM for encoding/programming.

I have the same problem with ISTA/P.

I try to explain:
PC with Windows 10 PRO 64 bit

ISTA/D with k+dcan configuration ALL OK i can connect to bmw
ISTA/P with k+dcan with loader 4.3 or 6.1 i launch the emulator then i open
I install network tool, rename network name to USB then i set IP 169.254.0.8 mask 255.255.0.0
ista/p when i connect i receive the error initialisation expert fails and coapikfinit fails

94201 Technical service initialization failed
-2 Global.Unknown
55054 Global.Unknown
10007 (CIP) - Fault during initialization of EDIABAS

I'm trying to connect to an F30 (2015, 328) using ENET. EDIABAS runs but the icon turns red and then I get the errors. I enabled logging in EDIABAS:

Things I've confirmed:
- ISTA-P version: 3.59.4.004
- ISTA-P loader: BMW ISTA-P Loader V6.1F
- The car's IP address is 169.254.88.109 and I can ping it from inside Windows.
- ISTA D works
- Installed patched EDIABAS 7.3
- Disabled firewalls
- No antivirus

Please i have same problem

It is very risky to use Enet-cable with Ista-p.

Here's the config manuals

beemerboy88, you are awesome. That fixed it.

For others running into the same issue:
- I'm running ISTAP in a VM
- I changed the name of the Network Adapter to 'eth0' (not sure if this matters but anyways)
- Set the IP address to 169.254.1.1 and gateway to 255.255.0.0
- IP address for the car's connection was still the same 169.254.88.109
- After the changes, I pinged the car's address from inside the VM and confirmed that it was connected. (instructions: launch cmd and type 'ping <ip_address_of_car>'). This should work. If ping is unreachable, something isn't right with the networking.
- Using the launcher, first select ENET, type in the IP address from ZGW search.
- Launch ISTA-P and connect!

That's how K + dcan works for me.
1. USB network disable
2. TCP/IPv4 manual ip 169.254.0.8
3. Run ista-p loader
4. Connect car obd the cable
5. Click K+Dcan
6. Click car, motorrad etc.
7. Open C:\Ediabas\Bin\ediabas.ini
8. RemoteHost 169.254.0.1
9. Click new session ista-p

I do this at every startup.
