My cic is now alive. He teach me a lot.

But i have 2 issues with it.
I dont have any fsc on it. I script activated it. 
I cant extract 1b.hex.
When i put USB with europe premium maps 2018-2, nothing happens.
The navigation say "To start the navigation, please insert the map DVD".

I have flashed Japanese e90 cic to ECE. Update went fine in comfort mode however unit stay in Bootloader mode after flashing. How to switch it to normal mode?

You can flash the cic to ece firmware after that code to ece default and you're done.
Did it once and the unit works flawless.

Ho do you flash Japanese cic to ECE? After flash screen is blank you can't code it as there is no communication in  NCSexpert

You do realize that as soon as you put ECE firmware on Asian CIC, your navigation FSC Code will convert, and you can no longer run any Asian (e.g. Japan) map?

First sentence is "This is for ECE/US CIC, not for Asian variants."  OP has Asian CIC.

hi Shawn is there a particular order for the steps to be taken in? i was intending to vo car to EU from Japan as its a Jap import, then clone hdd to eu version then code cic using winkfp as its an E82. Is that right or should i code the cic before changing the HDD? thansk

You can't just VO Code it.  CIC must first be flashed with modified FA, then new HDD Image.

yes i meant flash the european FA to the car, then i understand i will need to also flash 63 62 and AO with european zb's. as well as a eu HDD image. am i missing something?

I can't advise further. This is not anything I personally do.

you better edit the title to " Solved , I couldn't do it " , because if you couldn't do it , doesn't mean it can't be done . It has been done many many times by many people around the world and on this forum too including me .

I personally can't offer anyhelp because it is time consuming and commentments with other on going projects. But beleive me that it can be done on all types of CIC from Exx and Fxx.

yeah i think ill be ok. ive read a bit about it, i know Shawn does F cars at least now and has helped me loads before in any case. Ive Got my power supply ready and i'll get there in the end
