Hi guys my opcom is now not working it says pic is emtpy or new protection. i updated fw from 145 to 159. I have tried using all the tools on the forum to change fw and bootloader back but it will not go back and still says pic emrty. Can anyone on the forum reprogram it with an external programmer for me i am willing to pay to get it working again. Please message me if you can help me. Thanks Steve.

Mate if you have an opcom v6 then you have to change the PIC first then you have to flash it with an external programer
Share pics with your PCB ( both sides) Did you tried the Hq clone software Good luck |

If you have an opcom v6 and you need to upgrade/downgrade the firmware ir is locked ( not working anymore ) then you have to change the PIC MCU
But if you have a real PIC18F458 inside then you don't In most of the case you don't need to replce it or reflashed it Share your issue and pics mate to figure it out what kind of board you have there Good luck |

i own v6 version with fake mcu I've bought real PIC and I'm ready to replace it  Do i have to flash it outside opcom before soldering ?? OCFlash will not work with empty PIC? Where can i find flash dump for PIC ? thanks |

Ocflash cannot flash an empty PIC MCU
You can flash the PIC MCU isp or outside as you said. The firmware that you are using with OCflash you can use it with External Programmer too And a lot of firmwares are shared by Mr. Fantomel in this forum Good luck |

You need to flash it after soldering, cause pcb has a quartz, which is needed.

do you theres a difference between PIC18F458 and PIC18F4580, PIC18F4585? i read manual for these UCs and think it should work, but does anyone tried it? i'm asking becouse first is more expensive than two others where people buy hq clones? i can't find any supplier, all of them sell V6 |
