Hi and thank you for your reply, however post 14 on thread https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.p...031&page=2 advises that the VIN can be blanked using the R270. The OP states he connected with a test clip which is what I am after as I do not want to go down the de solder route. The 6WA Kombi has a lower mileage than what is currently on my car.
