Yes, if you have only Ista Online/Aos , because it should get ISN code from server and activate yours existing keys in new BDC and etc.

If you don’t have it - impossible (except read ISN from yours old damaged bdc, and write it to new one) - for this you should have specific Tools

New BDC from dealer comes with ISN and keys already programmed.
You just need to code it/program, write FA, SVT, ilevel.
Component protection will trigger on MGU/EVO.

You can start the vehicle immediately, after activating BDC_GW(flash) and the starter lock, the rest is a matter of flash / coding. Of course, Esys may have a problem with other HWEL BDCs so it's better to do Ista online(faster).

No problem either with other hwel, bmw don't sell hwel unmatched to the car. Buy a new bdc with your vin and identity document, and you can start the car after what i sayed in the previous post.
