Create directory on USB drive named FSC and copy the .fsc file into it.

I don't have an extended FSC set with Apps and CarPlay but the basic stuff with Nav works. Still looking for a US complete FSC set for ID5.

Dude, can you not read the thread subject "NBT Evo"??

These units are the newer 4th generation head units. You cannot upgrade the regular NBT units to the new interface and as far as I know, never will.

Legitimate question on the ID5/ID6 - ID5 is the user interface that first came out for the Evo, there are utube videos of ID5 and the newer ID6 which is oriented more towards touch screen but still usable from idrive controller.

Were you able to load the new set of FSC codes after clearing with Tool32? Also Nav is working right?

I have the same issue and I believe it's because I still have ID4 codes on the NBT EVO. Whenever I set Navi_Variante = US or Telematic ECU to ATM, it will crash.

Is Nav and Connected Drive working?

which features are you missing on id6?

I actually sold my car so I can't test this right now. Out from my memory: route magnet, main menu favorites and screen saver clock. Of course I don't know if these are supposed to be id6 features or not.

Ok, so here is a good reason to need to clear FSC set - when trying to load "new" set with more features but the issue date is older - only way is to downgrade, clear with tool32 and then upgrade.

Just done this again today - real PITA but doable.

Now, loaded new set (with 143 and 9C) but still don't see CarPlay and can't get apps to work.

Any tricks, I've coded A4A_SWT active but didn't see anything related to CarPlay?

Edit Apps is working, not sure what was going on but it even works over BT, fantastic. No CarPlay yet.

Yes, just as with CIC & CCC you have to "Virginize" to be able to load an fsc with an earlier generation date
