My brother have one 2013 F10 and I want to buy an Icom interface for coding with ista/d but I don´t know what version of icom buy, any recommendation?

and

where I can see the latest version of ista/d/p and its diferences?

Is there is any restriction between Icom A2 vs Icom A3?

I saw this on some webs:

Function:
ICOM A and ICOM A2 perform same function. But due to the old ICOM A module have problem in the cooling and protection design, ICOM A2 adopts the whole aluminum shell body, using aerial explosion-proof connector; and it use the joint connection line which similar to the Mercedes-Benz SDCONNECT COMPACT 4.

BWM ICOM A2 comes with Network cable, can do Fiber optical programming, but ICOM A3 does not contain Network cable, can not do Fiber optical programming.

So, Icom A3 has usb for optical conector and RJ45 for notebook, I don´t understand!!!

Thanks guy, and what happen with Icom 3?, is a chinese versión ? do you know which is the lastest interface version of bmw?, my brother wants to buy the original but I suppose is too much expensive, he is willing to pay an original.

Do search on this forum MOST/Fiber Connection on F-series or google for it
Invest a bit more time on reading and it will answer allllllllllllll of you questions since this question has be discussed and not once but multi multi multi times

You do not need expensive ICOM interface for F10 coding. You can use ENET cable witch is waaaay cheaper.
