Remove s843a (power reduction)
Hello guys,
A friend of mine purchased a bmw f10 520 from belgium. After he bought the car he noticed that is has an extra called s843a (power reduction) which reduces the cars power to 163 hp. Does anybody know exactly how can i remove it? Someone told me that i have to delete s843a from FA , vo code all the modules and then program dme with ista p. Is this the right way? Keep in mind following:
I did the change of type from 3E11 to 3D31. And after that programming the vehicle with ISTA+ and it worked i had 184pk instead of 163pk. However there was a problem with my cruise control. I tried a lot of things like FA code complete car but nothing worked. Somebody on the forum here mentioned that in the DDE is a table so that the DME can determine in witch gear the manual gearbox is. My F30 220D eff dynamic with manual gearbox has exactly the same engine and gearbox but the differential is different from the 184pk version. The ABS sensor measure now a different speed than the DDE is expected due to the table for the gear witch is from 184pk version now. So at the end for me it was not possible or i have to change differential. |

Looking at KIS data I see 3E11 has parameters ABGAS=CO2;FZDIFF=01 and 3D31 has ABGAS=KAT;FZDIFF=00. I would say there are very different chassis and you should not just change one to another! Just remove S843A from VO and you should be fine as its not encoded into 3E11 itself. Twoone and BMWzone, why you create problems then they are not there?

Wouldn't be better to chip the car, in my opinion yes
many times heard problems with this mod this gives you just few hp extra chip will remove this limit and you will get really sensible kick of hp and tq course chip has to be done by professionals not ebay box |
