installation is easy like.......

1. install latest FW 767 or 770 depends on your device (about 25 minutes)
2. install original maps using red update menu (I needed about 1:15hr for it card class10)
3. install patch (30 seconds)

everything works (including traffic online) except vin number which I make hidden in system

Hi all, congratulation for the successful update to Carpediem and paszczak!
I would like to do the update as well, in the next days/week, but I am not sure.

1) From what I understood, I think is quite easy to update as you wrote, but my concern is that I don't know what to do with VIN and/or SVM errors that others talk about. Carpediem and paszczak, did you have those and how exactly you resolved?

I am completely new to this kind of update, I miss some information or tools.
From what I understood, it is necessary: the special cable, the VCDS lite software installed on a notebook.
But what happens if I don't fix those errors, and what does it appears on the screen?

2) I have the torrent file for the maps but nobody is online to share it. So i can't download the maps...

3) My car is A7 2012 3GP, is there some particular procedure to follow a part the one posted many times here?

You disable the vin in the green menu of the mmi, the green menu must be enabled with the vagcom cable. You can erase the fault of the software version management with the vagcom also, but it is not necessary. Start the torrent and wait, i had the same problem but after 3 days it was downloaded and when its downloading its really fast! Sunday i will make a guide with screenshots, i have screenshots of the mmi of every menu. Its not hard, but you must know what you're doing.
