Good clone will be able to flash with odis-e. But I doubt if it solves the issues. Besides that you said you dont have the money to visite the garage. I dont think spending money on that vas5054 clone just for flashing that ecu is a wise decision. Id suggest starting a topic on a Volkswagen forum.

You don't need to flash all you need to do id do the software coding which at the moment your is

Coding: 0000001 try changing it to
Coding: 0000071 or,
Coding: 0000072......

I think it works well you can do the test my vas is with chip oki and it works quite well

If you have still the error with 11 Engine 2 Control Module not reachable then go to 19 Gateway there is something called installation list. Open it - untick number 11 Engine 2 press Save Coding...

You can also untick 56 - Radio because there is no original VW Radio inside.

Your car has no Engine 2 Module installed. Only big engines have 2 Ecus for the engine.

Updates only available for your engine - gateway is not flashable, it is one from siemens and was build into the cars from 06/2007 till 10/2007.

If you have no problems, never change a running system. Buy vas5054 only If u need it for guided troubleshooting then it is cheaper and better then vcds. but for some easy coding&error reading things vcds is quick and better

I changed a good running system by
Updating to latest firmware the following:
-updatung ecu
-updating tcm
-updating instrument cluster
-updatimg gateway
-updating PDC
-updating electrical CM
-updating radio

Coding changes:
Codings to enable disabled features
Codings to enable retrofits

Special / advance programs
1. Set instrument cluster yo km 1 and remove component protection
2. Activating keyless entry
3 VIM activation

Changing hardware to add technologies:
Gateway
Comfort unit

To do the above you need to read forums, erwin, parts diagrams have diagnostics, have battery charger, a laptop with a good battery in case it is needed, read the body and electrical manuals etc

I like to improve even if system is running well for the above reasons.
