RE: Defective ms45 help needed

What are the new flash you solder onto the used ECU? Thanks It depends on the ECU read it and take a look at Mouser for example. Sometimes there a flash chips with write protect functions. Most of the time you can use a pull up resistor to the WP pin (28F800F3, for example), but in rare cases I use the programmer (Batronix Batego II, or GALEP) and the right adapter to make a full indipendent backup. The MCP55x is different the integrated RAM has to be saved over BDM, the config file is important because it is car/engine type sensitive. One of the reasons everything is programmable in our days, you can use the ECU in different cars or engine scenarios. It only depends on the written firmware inside. The total datasheet of the MPX55x has about 966 pages and a lot of possibilities. A BGA solderig process is not so easy and the PCB has to be preheated, also the soldering process itself depends on the solder. If you´re working with unleaded solder the chips max off center is about 10%. Late failures often occur because the soldering process was insufficient. |
