RE: OP-COM v6 with "fake MCU" REPAIR
Ok
Check first if the drivers are installed then... Check the VID/PID top be 0403/4F50 ( if you have VID/PID 0403/0000 then flash the FTDI with the right ept - if you don't have it I will share it for you ) The drivers version must be up to 2.10.xx If you have any newer driver version then unistall it Install the drivwers comes with the opcom software If you are using Win 7,8 or 10 then disable Auotomatic drivers updates Try again Good luck |

RE: OP-COM v6 with "fake MCU" REPAIR
You can NOT reflash the fake mcu
you have been told this only way to fix that is either go out and buy a pic18f458 and do the mods needed or go and buy a good quality clone that has a true pic in it if my post helps please give Reputation and Thanks

I know to upgrage to new s/w version you need a real mcu but also there is a flashing s/w for china to use original 2010, I've done it before but can't find the flasher now. If he has this then it will solve my problem... These don't use a pic18f458 but are re-writable and just labled OPCOM wbr |

RE: OP-COM v6 with "fake MCU" REPAIR
Mate we will try to let you understand that for this kind of tool there is no soloution yet. We do not talk here about uprade it. We are talking about fixing the defective tool that you have
Because: 1. The MCU its not PIC18F458 and its using a diffrent firmware then the fake one 2. The OPCOM V6 MCU its using a moded firmware - if you have this firmware then you caqn try it 3. The fake MCU its maybe protected so what you will read will not works if you flash it back or in other MCU as this one. That's why there's no solutions If you still want to repair this tool you need to use the methode as in the first post You need to change the fake MCU with a real one. For the real one there's shared dumps and for the fake one there isn't. Get it? And I already told you in my previos posts so if you want listen it then its ok if you don't listen it what we are told you here then keep searching. Be my guest. Good luck |
