correct sp-daten for DME programming?
Hi,
I am trying to program a DME unit of an e87 using winkfp. The Part number is 7557809 and using INPA I found that the ZB-number is 7563280. I tried various versions of sp-daten files for e89 (e89 sp-daten is used for e87) but didn't manage to find this ZB number in any version from the versions I have. I am updating winkfp sp-daten using BMW Coding Tool if that makes any difference. Do you by any chance know which sp-daten version includes this ZB-Number? (falls into the EKB945 category) Actually, I also tried other versions for EKB945 but the programming breaks with various errors (depending on the ZB number I choose). Thanks in advance! |

Then SOLVE those errors. Flashing is supposed to upgrade unit firmware and for that you need new ZB number which will be found automatically in comfort mode.

RE: correct sp-daten for DME programming?
Most commonly when I use as a different ZB number, I am getting :
ERROR_ECU_SECURITY_ACCESS_DENIED_SECURITY_ACCESS_REQUESTED (code 900) Should I assume that the error has to do with the DME itself (maybe bricked?) and not the ZB number I am choosing? |

RE: correct sp-daten for DME programming?
most likely your settings / hardware is not correct or latency not correct if using D-Can
Are you using D-CAN? and are you using the fixed BIN version or chinese version? The chinese versions have errors when programming every 253rd byte. if you are looking for original software to re-flash it with the same program. You can find that out by the Factory I-Stufe. This will tell you which version of ISTA/P coding / programming version it left the factory at. There is usually no benefit in restoring original software unless BMW had locked the ECU. |

RE: correct sp-daten for DME programming?
Why do you it's bricked? What is the reason you started trying to flash it in the first place?
What ZB are you choosing? What else are you choosing? Really, if you want help, you should really explain what are you doing, what hardware are you using and so on. As long as it's responding to you it should not be bricked. |

RE: correct sp-daten for DME programming?
Stop programming that DME. You will get into problems more so if using a Dcan. But if you really need to flash it share the 4,5,6,7 digits of your vin and we can get it for you

RE: correct sp-daten for DME programming?
You will not find your current ZUSB in the files, if it is going to be an update, it will be a new updated ZUSB.
If you reprogram it to the ZUSB you already have, you haven't updated it at all. Use "Update ZUSB" and it will say current Zb - xxxxxxx New Zb -- yyyyyy Program? y/n? On the car works better, outside of the car, I have had problems with DCAN leads and use the ICOM. |

Have you tried programming with ista-p?
I always do E-series programming with ista-p and ICOM this way here for me everything is fine as long as the control unit is correct for the vehicle. |
