Hello guys,
I hope my question fits the forum area.

I own a 120i F20 LCI of 03/2019 since summer.

The car came with backup camera from the factory.
I retrofited top-view cameras, because I very much like it in my F11.
The issue I encounter is that, although all cameras are calibrated with ISTA+, the image of the backup camera not fits to the image of the under mirror cameras.
The OEM position of the backup camera is very low (above the licence plate), so that the image is much more zoomed-in at the moment.

Does anybody know how to resolve this issue by reducing the zoom level of the backup camera to fit the image of the mirror cameras?

it seems my problem is very specific, because nobody could give me a hint how to solve my problem so far.

In case there is no adaption of the image according to my needs possible - I have another potential solution.
Has somebody retrofited the backup camera from a F06 into a F20 LCI successfully?
Because the camera position would be much higher in the BMW emblem.

Any other ideas are also welcomed.

If the reversing camera is not out of alignment, then why do you want to adjust its image? Is it only so that the zoom levels align with sideview cameras and create a more coherent top-down view?

I don't know if the software does any zooming on those cameras as I presume the level of zoom is fixed by the lens on F20 platform.

Yes, I'd like to have a coherent top-view image with correct aligned transitions between the images of the mirror cameras and the image of rear view camera.
The issue of the current situation is, that at the moment you see obstacles in the left and right corner later due to the zoomed-in image of the rear view camera.

I think that the TRSVC does "processing" of the rear view image, because the image changes between the 2 available modes. 1.) rear-view only 2.) top-view
But at the moment I don't know whether there are parameters in the software of the TRSVC to change the zoom level of the rear view image when in top-view mode.

Thats why I opened the thread, because I hope that there are other F20 drivers out there having solved the similar problem in the past.

It is possible to fit the F06 camera however the problem you will have is that in F12/F13/F06 the camera is behind the badge and the badge lifts up when you put the car in reverse to allow the camera to see, the badge lifting up is controlled by a LINBUS command.

About 6 years ago I retrofitted one to an e64 by modifying a F13 one and building an interface to activate the badge flap, I also helped a guy in Germany to do it to his F20, if I remember correctly although it fitted to the F20 in place of the badge the inside trim of the boot lid could not be fitted as the camera mechanism stuck out too far.

thanks for your answer - very much appreciated.

I already checked ISTA+ and saw that my F20 LCI just outputs Lin_8 signal from FEM but rear view camera of F06 expects Lin_7 signal from JBE.
So your built "interface" translates the LINBUS commands or does it work differently?
Would your interface work in my F20 LCI too and do you still offer it?

In case the only downside would be the fitment of the inside trim of the trunk, I guess I can cope with that.

By chance do you still know the username of the German F20 owner and in which forum you had contact?

Sorry don't remember the guys name with the F20, the interface was based on an Aruino and the OEM pcb had to be modified, it did not translate the LINBUS command I may have the info somewhere and the code for the Arduino that I wrote I will take a look over the weekend and see if I can find it.

I just ask, because I have no Arduino experiences so far.
Was it 100% stable?
