RE: NEED HELP TO SETUP ICOMA2 TO CONNECT BMW ISPI NEXT
There is no need to use Ediabas when using ISTA with ICOM. See attachment for correct settings.

Does the Icom have a hostname - so we could use that instead of the ip adddress?

No, only IP. Use IToolRadar to make sure that the ICOM connected and see previous post for configuring TCP.

The easiest way is to let your NIC find the IP and subnet automatically. (see ap90050 post, I recommend this settings too)

Than connect the ICOM to the NIC and power it on wait a little bit, after a while the LAN Led should light.

You can verify the IP and subnet of your NIC through the cmd console (run as admin) of Windows. Type in ipconfig /all and the system will show you the IP and subnet address of your NIC´s and of all connected adapters.

If the NIC of the Notebook and the ICOM is on the same subnet ISTA is operating automatically. You dont need Ediabas with the right VCI settings (see ap90050 post).

If the adapter is on a different subnet it will never work, because they cant talk together.

Sorry for my English).
If you are using ediabas only on laptop directly connected with car and this laptop without wifi or local connection - maybe this help:

1. TCP & xEthernet
RemoteHost = 169.254.92.38 (for clone ICOM example)

2. Rem - ; ClampHandling = 0 (its useful if you are using EasyConnect, INPA and etc.)

Hi will try your suggestion and give feedback.
Appreciated.

Here are two options you can use original launcher which doesnt require ediabas to be installed or you can use Bemmerboy loader which require ediabas, when you are doing the installation for ediabas make sure to select enet that way you dont need to touch on the ediabas.ini should work flawless make sure to unistall and install again the ediabas.

PS. I never receive any type of PM from you.

Good Luck

RE: NEED HELP TO SETUP ICOMA2 TO CONNECT BMW ISPI NEXT
Icom connects to ISPI directly without any loaders. All soft can work from original icons.
Loader was made to force ISPI works with D-CAN.

Online teamviewer support for almost all automotive software. JLR SDD latest offline. Hyundai/KIA GDS dealer certification.
