Backup/replace original ".exe" with ".exe" from archive (use winrar 5.xx for unpack)...

Thank you for the effort @maxtorrld,
Unfortunately does not work under Win10 64bit, does not start, not even with Win7 compatibility. Use WinRar 5.xx.

RE: Cic Special Service utility - used 51times
I noticed that programs need to run from C:\ Rather than C:\ProgramFilesxxxx on windows 10

So I would just extract all Diagnostic Programs to the C:\ Root Directory

Example ..
Remove all traces of the CIC Special Tools...Reboot

Start the Setup again this time Use this location as the install folder..

Follow up with the post and let us know if this helps anyone.

Thanks

Then Copy the UPDTAED "EXE" in the RAR File to

C:\Bimmer Retrofit\CIC Special Service Utility\

You may need to update the shortcut on the desktop with the new "EXE" file you just added so ..

Once you copy the UPDATED "EXE" File, Delete the shortcut on the desktop,

Navigate to the new folder C:\Bimmer Retrofit\CIC Special Service Utility\

and right click on the "EXE" file and select "Create Shortcut" and Send to The Desktop

RE: Cic Special Service utility - used 51times
I found a way to make this warning "You have used this program 51 times..." go away!!

I ran TrailReset 4.0 like suggested, It found a reg key and some files on C:/ProgramData/IsolatedStorage/

After many attempts to delete, clean or remove the files created.. With no luck.. I did this and it WORKED:

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THIS MIGHT BREAK SOMETHING!

1. Make sure that your windows has the ability to "Take ownership" when right clicking folder/files.
2. Navigate to, and Right click folder "IsolatedStorage" (C:/ProgramData/IsolatedStorage/)
3. Take ownership of the entire folder.
4. Go into "Properties" of the Folder.
5. Remove ALL permissions and "inheritance". Making the Folder permission completely BLANK
6. Press OK. Try to open the folder to confirm. You should get a warning prompt that you have no access to do this...
7. Open CIC Service Utility again and see if warning is gone!

Let me know if you are successful or not with this method.

To do that, you have to have some programming skills and knowledge and what to remove. Most of forum and this app users are simply users smile
