Using ISTA/P for updating software, when using Expert Mode you can hide all actions and choose to either Program, Replace or Code that particular ECU.

What is the difference in Code and Program ?.


Also to update Retrofit NBT with ISTA/P would it cause issues with FSC codes etc ?.

In my opinion,Programming is similar to the install system on PC (software update), and code is similar to install the driver on pc which you install before.
If you use ISTA -P program,some retrofit module can not be identified,you need to use Esys to add VO and program.

Never tried K DCAN with ISTA but ENET and emulator is fine.

Really? I cannot let ISTA/P connect to my F30 320i with enet emulator.

You need to use Icom Emulator. Loader v3.2 found on here. ISTA/P will then use ENET. You may need to set to ENET in settings.

I was more concerned about the Code option, I wondered why it uses the term Code. In ESYS coding is having the ability to change options.
In ISTA/P I don't see the ability to change settings in ECU so what exactly does Code do in ISTA/P?.

I am beginning to think Code in ISTA/P is just default settings for ECU only.
