hi,

i have some problems swapping a cluster from an e90. the original cluster is broken and i tried to use a different one i had in my garage.

it is a 320d. i took the cluster apart and kept the front part with the 260km/h and 5000 rpm diesel. now i took the gasoline cluster and used the electronics. i also changed the vin and the mileage to fit the car. everything works except the rpm isn‘t showing the right values.

is there a way to fix this? maybe in the eeprom or somehow else.

tried, but i don’t know the correct values. i tried entering everything and when testing with perfect toolbox it was pretty ok. but when i started the engine, it was running at about 400 rpm which should be around 850.

Why these combinations when instrument clusters are not that expensive. Time is money, don't waste it.
