No. HMI application runs from EMMC. Any benefits for running SSD on NBT or EVO? Yes... faster to get and cheaper to buy. Performance benefits? Nope. But not all SSD-s work on those out of the box. If you tweak the storage manager, then it will run any disk...

I want to change HDD on NBT EVO ID4. with commands somehow is not working!

Hello, trying to replace a HDD for NBT unit. Issue is HDD is completely dead so i can't even get SSH open. I know HU Tool 3.9 can do it, but any other solutions? Also im upgrading to 300GB Drive, do i need to edit the create_hdd.sh script?
One more thing, i heard that new feature installer update gives the ability to work with NBT units, is this true? Maybe i can open SSH with code for FI?

I'm having trouble after replacing an NBT EVO ID4 HDD flashed with version 1803.

I've tried two SSDs and a Toshiba MQ01ABD050 500 GB SATA 2 internal hard drive.

I manage to execute all the commands and validate the create_hdd.sh -c directories script.
All scripts run successfully.

Then I restart, and the system keeps rebooting. If I remove the HDD, the unit starts; I reinstall the HDD, it stabilizes, then I restart, and it begins to reboot again.

Any help would be appreciated,

this happens to patched units, can be fixed by reflashing unit.

Which Hard Drive can i use the NBT_HU (NOT evo)?Any 200GB HD for NBT_hu or its need to be spesific?I Saw you wrote that Toshiba MK2060.Is that fits for NBT And NBT Evo?Thanks

I have used Toshiba MK3265GSX on many NBT1 headunits , always with positive feedback, affordable and easy to secure. Its 320GB but will work perfectly fine in NBT1 with default partitions or with custom size of the Music partition.

EVO can take any type of 400+GB SATA HDD/SSD unlike NBT1
