Hi,

Someone installed used BDC in the Car and it runs ok, but has a Programming abort in the GW (Error S 0492)
(Blue in ISTA) and a Component Protection active (Error B7F87A) i think because of one "UNKNOWN" File

Esys shows the differences attached in the Pictures.
Anyone see a chance of flashing this with "HWID from SVTActual"-Option ?

It won´t flash normal (ISTA - they tryed that) - so i was asked if it could be done otherwise.
I don´t know anything from where the Module comes.But Car runs and drives.

Just the Errors and the Dealer said "only new Part possible".

Comfort access is not gonna work

Inside Keyless works right now, outside i think it doesn´t have Keyless-Comfort-System (no riffles on handle)
and Remote works fine.

One thing i noticed is the Navigation doesn´t work.

Someone write istufe ist in BMW server so car has original IStep werk 18-03-532 but ist is 15-11-505 not possible. 322 it is not there so nothing to do with it just one swfl is missing. Maybe Node can tell you more about hardware to find from which serie is coming this bdc and then flashed with corrected VO.

Your "new" BDC is just WRONG one for your car! Observations:

1. As already mentioned your car was made on 24.05.2018 (has F056-18-03-532 factory ilevel). However online data says current ilevel is F056-15-11-505 (almost 3 years OLDER). This just WON'T WORK. This could come from the "new" BDC, or some idiot tried to do something strange, IDK. This should NOT be a showstopper.

2. HWEL of your BDC's body part is 000017B8_001_007_009 which was installed in F056 chassis (which F39 is based on). ESys/ISTA asks for 000017B8_001_009_003 which is latest one. From my experience if major and minor version numbers are the same, it's NOT a problem. ESys/ISTA just can't match current one FULLY hence asks for LATEST.

3. Now we come to a showstopper part. Your "new" BDC is just for a DIFFERENT car! Based on the existing HWEL+HWAPs in body part I could match your unit to Mini Coopers from 2014 ONLY! Other years/models do not seem to have matching HWELs/HWAPs. ESys/ISTA will NOT ignore this!!! And given F39s were not even there in 2014 at all, you will have a SERIOUS problem. I would suggest you get a PROPER BDC. If you want to continue with this one you will need some work like editing of FA and/or SVT and/or manually crafted SVT soll. But have in mind that this will be one time only thing and even if you do it this time, it will never be possible to use ISTA to flash this car anymore!

P.S. I will look into this a bit more but these type of analyses TAKE HOURS (already spent a good hour to (almost) GUESS what this BDC unit is)!!!

P.P.S. The body part number of your unit should be 4524378 ("body 7"). While your car had 2897915 ("body 34") from factory.

P.P.P.S. After another hour looking into data and playing with ESys it seems both these units have same software in latest ilevels, so you could just click "HW-IDs from SVT actual" after calculating upgrade SVT and then make TAL. Your current BDC seems to have ALL HWAPs of the one you need and then some additional ones. So I would give 90% it should work with ESys (definitely NOT ISTA), but remaining 10% will be a brick.

Thank you very muich for the Info and Time.
I took out the BDC and took a Picture.This is whats mounted at the Moment.
Then i called the Dealer and they said 4-6 Weeks Backorder for the Part  

Well then, i think its the only chance i have if it takes the SW....we will try it.

So, the flashes went through....the Programming Abort Error in the GW/BDC is gone.

But i have 1 old and 2 new Errors.
After the Flash for GW/BDC the Airbag Lamp was on steady with a com-error to the GW/BDC,
so i flashed the Airbag as well.

But i can´t get it fault free.It says its NOT locked, ISTA says programm the Airbag,
but E-SYS says all is actual. Intresstingly ISTA shows that it wants to flash the Airbag 
"again", but before hand it wants to replace the BDC/GW  

And then there is this component protection Fault, anyone a idea if it is possible to get that sorted ?

Lock the airbag with Tool32 or ESYS
