RE: Power supply for coding flashing
I use the Powermax 100 Amp Power Supply without issue for almost two years. They are about $180 USD.

RE: Power supply for coding flashing
I've used a NOCO Genius 10 multiple times without issue. Granted the draw probably pulls from the battery as it is only 10a.

A highly optioned vehicle will easily hit 40-50A at the beginning of the flashing process. I've found they usually settle down to around 25-30A steady. Like most tools though, if you do this professionally it's much cheaper to buy the best tool versus replacing a bricked module. I use the Clore Automotive PL6100 (100A). Expensive but well worth the peace of mind. The airpress 77108 looks like a nice unit though for the money.

Excatly, I allways start flashing process to connect PS to car and then take a cup of coffee and start to wire ethernet & laptop up. If battery is ok, usually it drops to what You said 20 - 30A and stays there.
i have flashed dozens of E- to G series and never had issues with 50A supply.
If battery is bad it can stay to 50A forever.
Of course, headlights, seat heating off, blower to minuum etc, all the time.
