2/2007 and older vehicles requires the pin 7 and 8 to be bridged!!

You must bridge or not 7 & 8 pins, like in picture attached

Up to 2010 the easy way is to bridge.
From 3.2007 use DCAN Utility.
From 2010 not use the bridge ,use only pin 7 because pin 8 is for Ethernet and therefore comes problem with communikation with car.
CAN L and H are still on pin 6,14 and therefore use DCAN utility to change the speed.

I have a fairly similar but different cable. I bought it 3 years ago and I only tried it with two E60 2004 and another E60 2005 and so far I have not had any problems. Do you have any idea if I have to make the modification for older models? (I leave the link of the seller to see if they know it: Interface USB OBD2 for BMW - INPA/Ediabas - K+DCAN allows full diagnostic of BMW from 1998 to 2008 (all function as in OMNITEC interface))

Yep you need modification for older models.wink
