I don't know how to update the firmware,
Can you do it through USB?

Why you need it? It can't be changed in the dump without knowing how to create license signature.

Offset 0x000B..0x0010
Other parts of serial number are related to FTDI ChipID, checksums, etc.
Algorithms are not public.

Hello,
I have an old vcds interface Super 812.4 with STC chip HW44 BL and I'm trying to update it to latest version through usb. I removed the stc chip but VAGCOM_HWType.exe still says "No response". Do I have to remove additional components? or the firmware is too old to get updated by usb in this case I will buy a USBASP programmer. Thank you, any help greatly appreciated.
