It can't be changed in the dump without knowing how to create license signature. Other parts of serial number are related to FTDI ChipID, checksums, etc. Algorithms are not public. |

Hello,
I have an old vcds interface Super 812.4 with STC chip HW44 BL and I'm trying to update it to latest version through usb. I removed the stc chip but VAGCOM_HWType.exe still says "No response". Do I have to remove additional components? or the firmware is too old to get updated by usb in this case I will buy a USBASP programmer.
