If is such an old clone then please do post some pictures of boards like this we all see how 2007 version looked like smile

I think aliexpress has some good ones now for US$80. Stay away from VAS6154A clones

When I get my VAS6154 of Aliexpress i can make a description if it is good or bad.

But I thought i only give VAS5054A that will be a clone of VAS6154

RE: Quality 5054a - apoelistas - 20-09-2017

To give an opinion if it is good or bad you also have to flash with odis-e.

Search the threads there are pictures of VCX 6154 and vcx nano which look similar but vcx 6154 has less internal chips. Also with vcx nano you need cable extender because its shell is wide and cannot fit.

VCX 6154 has nothing to do with original vas 6154 thus it is not a clone, though vas5054a is.

RE: Quality 5054a - Zocker010 - 20-09-2017

Ok I understand so i do if it come a benchmark test with it. I flash a control module via Odis-E and original VCP and stop the time how long does it take.

RE: Quality 5054a - apoelistas - 20-09-2017

smile it does not sound good. If you have a VCP you can flash without worrying about bricking your control module. Speed tests do not make sense if you will flash only 5-6 control modules. Even though VAS5054a clone usually comes with 55ns memory module which is slower than the original 10ns, and in addition some also come with 3.3V 10ns memory though those are not so stable, also I have seen memory with 70ns which is even slower. VCX 6154 probably will fail to flash.

So compared to these VCP is better.

Thanks to your experience. Which interface do you use of Flash your Control Modules and where do you get it?

You are welcome. Since today I am in good mood I will reply with a riddle.

If you can afford it buy a VCP. If you cannot then save money for a VCP smile. I chose something in between.

It is not a riddle but it could have been if I did not send you the answer smile.

I would like to rework my VAS head as well, so I am looking for your recommendations. I think, memory will be the first thing to replace.

The OKI is fake (one leg cut off). Can I simply replace it with a real one (in case I can get one)? Actually, I do not really need it, but would like to get the head as good as possible.

EDIT: attaching pictures seems to be not possible?

Since for some reason I cant attach the pictures directly, I've put them on imgur.
