Hello
Can anybody suggests me how to read, write this ecu?
Citroen berlingo 2.0hdi, siemens SID801A
Tools available;
Kess 2.08 EU...(not support obd)
Ktag rework 6.070 ...(not on the list,just 801 boot mode)
MPPS V16 EU...(not on the list)
Galletto china..-obd protocol;k-line(read write 512kb,flash 29f400bb boot mode pin 28 to mass)
-boot mode protocol list(not on the list, just 801,802,805,806)

I dont understand with galletto obd protocol and boot mode pin 28 to mass in help field bellow???
I know it would be the best with desolder flash and with programmer, but I dont have it think

Nice collection of tools,
but, I have suggest you to R/W 29F400 on programmer..directly in socket, handly. Best and safer way, bellieve me!!!

@uikcar, you gave me fhoto for 803A it have bdm pads, my ecu is 801A without bdm pads Its not the same!!!
Today opened ecu and the hw is the same as on SID802,804,805,806 Galletto user manuals..so I used it with boot mode and pin28 on mass..
(when the warning message appear put ignition off, put boot pin on mass( I put it on black gnd wire),turn ignt. on-switch, pud down boot pin from mass)..OK..finally started reading biggrin

Can anybody check if it is good reading? 512kb (I am a little woried about china galletto) when writing back think

No, my friend you gave me kess list for sid801, its not the same ecu hw as sid801A..and you can not read this ecu by obd (RD is unchecked), maybe with ori kess thinking

Anyway, I found the solution in the post described above (picture of my reading and read file in attachment) biggrin

i used the search function to find help about reading sid 801a and there is no answer to my question. i don t wanted to create a new thread for this because this one is not too old happy

i heard that it is needed to use a 1Kohm boot pin resistor and remove this boot pin wire before perfom reading this is for galletto reading. if not the dump file will be corrupted
is it needed to use this resistor with ktag? ktag help file does not talk about resistor and remove pin boot wire? if it is right ktaf help files will show informations about these one? speechless

what about reading of sid801?
please confirm thinking

Ktag not support sid801A (At least my old Ktag 6.070)
Galleto boot mode instructions uses boot wire without resistor just pin 28 to mass..
Do it as I am in the picture above yes

Sid801 can Ktag do, just google on youtube yes
