Try to delete the data folder with the $$ and also in the update folder then try again.

Sonsten look that have the right updates! For Germany - d, for international 0

Same Problem, after all update, asking to download Etka 8.1 and when trying to install getting a error

What is the issue?

how can we update to 8.1?
we getting "On this system no Etka8 installation has been found"
update 1241 without Etka 8.1 update is possible.
update 1242 is not possible without the Etka 8.1 update.
errorcode is: "there is no Etka 8.0 installed on your system"

ETKA8.1 Update Error Solutions - Missing User Identification & ETKA not found - planet-fireball - 17-09-2018

For anyone who had already installed the ETKA 8.1 Update and can't 
start the program, because of necessary User Identification / Login Data.

Here is a quick workaround:
You have to edit some data in the ETKA folders.

1. Search the following files in the ETKA folders
   Etka _User_au.ini
   Etka _User_se.ini
   Etka _User_sk.ini
   Etka _User_vw.ini

2. and paste the following information at "POI"
   Account = Etka
   User = Etka- Client
   password = Passw*rd
   
   Note: Sometimes * don't work, so please insert o instead of *

   Depending on the operating system, from time to time the plain names 
   are not recognized, therefore the following data should be used:

   account = BE1E75CD9AB8B7C3
   user = BE1E75CD9AB8B7C3
   password = BE1E75CD9AB8B7C3

For anyone who had already tried to update to ETKA 8.1 and can't finish the setup, here is a possible solution.

!!! Before you start please make a backup of you ETKA Folder !!

1. Prerequisite:  The folder "C:\ETKA\PROG\IX\" is available in your ETKA Folder.

2. Copy the contents of the folder "C:\ETKA\PROG\IX\PROG\"   to   "C:\ETKA\PROG1\" and overwrite the existing files.

3. Copy the contents of the folder "C:\ETKA\PROG\IX\DATA\"   to   "C:\ETKA\DATA\" and overwrite the existing files.

Now ETKA 8.1 should start without any problem. Maybe the solution for missing user data has to be done now.
