ISTA-P bricked DME - lagunasec - 23-06-2018

Hi,
I tried to update the DME with ISTA-P and this bricked it.
Now the DME is left with programming status 15.
What has gone wrong?
Attached is the ISTA-P report.

Reset battery “Disconnect negative battery cable” for 30 minutes, and reprogram the DME.

And let us know if you get it running again!

What tool did you use?

Thanks for your inputs.
On second attempt, ISTA-P was unable to identify the DME, so the programming was impossible.
Tried winkfp in comfort mode, not working.
I sent the DME to a local tunner but was impossible to recover via BDM, the flash is damaged.
I eventually bought an used DME and the tuning specialist fixed it for me.
I am interested if someone knows what damaged the DME in the first place (maybe from ista-p report), in order to avoid this from happening in the future.
The tools used were original icom next and 100A power source.

was the DME still visible in diagnostic (INPA/ISTA/ tool32)
if yes, should be possible to recover in winkfp expert mode!

Why were you updating the DME? If it had an internal fault code it was junk anyways. Depending on your model of vehicle they do get water damaged often from people leaving the plastic cowling off.

I think Intel flash data erase was the problem or not good working.
As you can see in the log erasing the flash made a problem.
The Intel chip has write protectec areas, may be the power source made a voltage shift or spikes. What kind of charger was it?

Erasing and writing of a flash is always a voltage critical process.
