MINI EMS2K - MS5150 - EWS3 - blax123 - 16-12-2018

Hello Guys,
i got a MINI Cooper S R53 preFL with a EMS2K DME and EWS3. I want to Switch to the Facelift DME MS5150 to flash the GP1 Software.
How can i transfer the ISN from the EMS2K to the MS5150? Which Tools/Software do i need?
And which Tools/Software i need to flash a Software on the Bench using Winkfp and Code it afterwards with ñc5? Will CantieCar do this job?

Best Regards

I don't think it is possible via OBD. I guess CanTieCar can't emulate KTAG or any other programmer that does BDM on EMS2K.

It might be easier to transfer the ISN from EWS using AK90 or XProg, very simple and cheap process. The VIN in the ECU will still be incorrect but that doesn't stop it from working.

You need to read the whole 29f400 flash memory. There are a lot of tools that support this ECU. AFAIK, even old Galletto reads the full flash.

Well you already answered your own question. WinKFP and a OBD cable. EMS2K and MS5150 are directly connected to DIAGBUS. It's K-Line, not CAN-Bus so no need for a Gateway.

My two cents: Why MS5150? All the required changes for more power or even  GP1 maps can be flashed to EMS2K...

You can read the entire flash, but can you also write the ISN with Galletto and/or other OBD tools? In my experience they read everything but only write the tune.

I found out, that SMOK UнD5 is able to read and write eprom and flash via OBD.
Found the Pins i need for 12v/Ground/K-Line.
So dont need to open and read via bootmode.
Someone knows at which adress the ISN is located?

I think Galetto reads Full File without ISN like MS42/43?

Yeah, just for switching to GP1 Soft.
How to flash the GP1 Soft on a EMS2K? This would be a life safer for me.
