FRM3 flash with emergency - jaki - 29-03-2019

I cannot find the topic anymore, where someone asked/claimed if it is possible to recover totally dead FRM3 only with Emergency flash?

Is that really possible or what? That would save a huge amount of work.

It's not possible. Reflash it by external programmer... that will help you.

read the corrupted dflash... as many times emulated eeprom can be recovered.

Yes, that I know and I have done that a couple of times with xprog, but someone asked why not with emergency flash. Then the whole topic was dismissed nerd

It will not work, I have tried a 100 times.

It's impossible.

To fix frm you have to fix the corrupted MCU partition, and how it is defined in MCU.

Even if you would be able to re-flash it somehow, it would still not recover the corrupt partition so the problem would still be there.

Emergency flash still needs an ECU that can communicate, no? If FRM cant communicate, how can it flashsmile

I agree with You. So I don't understand why someone succested to use emergency at all.
I assume the pinpoints in PCB in FRM3 are allway in the same place. It would be nice if someone could develop jig for FRM3 makeing soldring unnecessary clapping

RE: FRM3 flash with emergency - Freddy1 - 01-04-2019

Use a BDM-like frame with pins and you´re good to go, no need for soldering smile

RE: FRM3 flash with emergency - Jartsa - 13-04-2019

4 wire solder to big solder points aint that bad. On some frm3 versions you still need to scrape off the laquer biggrin, no one is that busy biggrin
