2011 E90 PAD active - Eyestorm - 16-01-2022
Hello.
When trying to connect to my 2011 E90 325d whit ISTA 4.33.20 today I got a "PAD Active" error..
I use same pc whit same ISTA yesterday and then everyting was working fine.
I change onlinemode = true in registry but did not help.
Im using ICOM A2.
Anyone have any solution about this probem?

Your problem is "Vehicle could not be identified successfully". PAD active is just one thing to be checked in such a case, but ONLY on G+ series. On earlier cars - is ignition on?

If still nothing - do the leg work. Does the car work at all? Diagnostic socket not broken? Pins in place? Voltages correct? Your ICOM works on similar cars?

On earlier cars - is ignition on?Yes car work fine. I drove the car yesterday. I use Bosch 90A charger so voltage is stabil at 13,6V and iginition is on. All pins and OBD contakt is as new.

But after I wrote the first post I remember that I have inst "Patched_EDIABAS_7.3.0". Will it affect ISTA?

It should not affect ICOM, but then I remember I had problems installing patched Ediabas long time ago. Don't remember what those were.

check with IToolRadar the IP adress of your ICOM and that this IP is set in ISTA

ICOM is set to DCHP and PC set to get IP automatic.

And vci interface in ista? And you choose the write brand cars?

Happy you had a good laugh, as you can see in his attached picture he gets no connection. I have sometimes the same problem my ICOM will have another IP address than the one already set in ISTA and vehicle can not be identified.
