You have different possibilities
1) Launcher Pro 3.7 ( Conventional Launcher EsysPro but Wont be useful on Newer G series )
2) EsysPlus 4.0 ( Good Launcher but latest istep still not mapped )
3) BimmerUtility ( Standalone FDL Editor which is mapped on latest istep )

what about esysx please?
EsysX is not being updatet or sold anymore , so you cant do anything with EsysX on newer cars. I have a EsysX dongle and the software still works on older Fseries but the mappings for newer cars are not updated anymore .So i am stuck using this software on newer cars.

I have EsysX with regular activation code and still works fine and I agree with you to certain extend. Think latest mapping for EsysX was 21-03. After info that developer passed away I moved to Esys Plus which is currently stuck at 21-07 mapping. So for newest coding I'm sticking with BU and so far so good.

Exactly as everyone said EsysX isn't sold anymore since some time therefore no updated mappings. Developer ( https://cartechnology.co.uk/member.php?action=profile&uid=113910 ) is still active behind the scenes and promised to come back with an updated " Launcher " but no ETA yet.
If you're not in a hurry , you can wait . but for now EsysPlus and/or BimmerUtility are the only options readily available to meet up with coding purposes

Do you like Chinese software where you have to ignore Virus warnings? If yes, Esysplus is possible option. If not, select Bimmer Utility, which will provide automatic updates, without needing to pay more
