ISTA Passthru set-up and EDIABAS ports for SM2 - diagso - 18-11-2022

Hi All,

Since I dont fully understand how EDIABAS.ini works I would like to seek your advice on modification of this file to make it work with ScanMatik 2 PRO and ISTA.

What I'm running is BMW StandardTool EDIABAS. Then I install BMW-PassThruD-3.0.11.86 and driver for SM2. Simple configuration of PTD and then I copy this into C:/EDIABAS folder without overwriting existing files. EasyConnect configured as STD:PassThruD.

Effects are:

1. On this file - EDIABAS - original from BWM StandardTools

I launch ISTA and no connection to car on EDIABAS or Passthru Tool(J2345)

2.On this file EDIABAS - working with PTT

I launch ISTA on Passthru Tool(J2345) and everything works perfectly fine.

Is assume that port for TCP is incorrect between those two files. On first one STD is on 6801 and second one for PTD is 6408.

Is there a way to setup ediabas.ini to recognize "STD:PassThruD" and use port 6408 and for STD:OBD 6801 ?

Just to close the topic and for future reference/users. Testing platofrm: ISTA 4.37 and BMW-PassThruD-3.0.11.86 along with newest SM2 drivers.

ScanMatik 2 PRO works fine with ISTA via option connection "Passthru Tool(J2345)" and reads the voltages and so on. Havent tried flashing anything, but think I should work just fine as well.

On EDIABAS setting it also communicates but obviously no V display.

Only way I was able to make it work was to replace ediabas.ini that I have attached.

Cheers
