ISTA won’t set up connection - dentzikhd - 04-01-2024
Hi all , my laptop is gone i i decide to start a new set up for my works so i bought a panasonic fz-g1 because is more handy and i installed all bmw tools along with ISTA the problem now is ISTA won’t scan the car basicslly when i select complete identification and scan it shows the conectiom manager when i can see ISTA recognised the car showing the VIN and the IP but once i select set up conection nothing happen ! I get a bit stuck because that never happen to me before any advice is welcome
UPDATE: Problem SOLVED , everything sort it now after reinstall vcredist apparently that was the problem

just a simple ENET cable i don't have a ICOM yet literally the same cable and the same software which i used on the previous laptop with a single exception on the tablet i don't have lan port so i run an usb to rj45 adaptor in order to connect the enet cable

did you run as admin the ISTA_firewall_rules.bat?

If you installed BWM Tools package, Maybe you should check ediabas settings using EDIABAS Konfigurator2.0. Make sure you select the fourth option 'ENET'. It will display 'Ethernet Cable' above.

i was runing outdated version of Mike's Easy BMW so now like i said i just clean up everything including ISTA and install BMW tools package from Sedoy now all i have to do is just reinstall a fresh ISTA and give it a try and i keep you guys posted also meanwhile if you can reckon a specific version of ISTA via torrent will be much appreciated
