Hello all, I was wondering how do I activate ACC on my 2019 VW GTI? I have purchased a VAS5054a, have ODIS, and ODIS online account, and the correct gateway and steering wheel buttons needed.

My vehicle did not come with ACC from the factory but it does already have the radar in place.

You need FEC code for ACC.
Since your car didnt have that from factory,ODIS is useless.
You need radar with special patched firmware that will accept non-official generated FEC code.
Or put round LRR radar and just remove CP,which if you have a new 3Q0 windshield camera wont communicate with it.

Not quite,after CP remove he will have DTC:

No SWAP FSID active.

And that is the hardest DTC to overcome.

I have MK7.5 so radar is behind the front emblem. Radar is the same part on ACC and Non ACC car.

I had a well known retrofitter tell me that all I needed was a VAS5054a, the highline can gateway, and steering wheel buttons for him to remote in and activate it. But he wants 500 euro which is insane.

You know how to do it? I should not have any Component Protection issues since I am only replacing the can gateway correct? I have VAS5054a, and VCDS.

I have MK7.5 so radar is behind the front emblem. Radar is the same part on ACC and Non ACC car.

You know how to do it? I should not have any Component Protection issues since I am only replacing the can gateway correct? I have VAS5054a, and VCDS.

You need to remove CP for gateway also.
Yes I know about the prices,and also that wont work anymore.
