Purpose of, what you call, "SVM" is, to write data and parameter into all of the vehicles units as they are supposed to be according to data stored in backend. Pretty much in every case: as car was manufactured. This procedure doesn't care if a certain unit is asking for SFD1/2 or not. It just writes the data provided by backend and if there's the need to do that with SFD1/2 it just does it during its sequence. If you really claim that only with SFD2 settings are reset, but not with SFD1, it would not make sense. Only explanation here would be: all the SFD2 parameter that were changed previosly are logged and therefore easy to identify without reading the vehicle. And backend writes those back right away. But in general: backend can and will write everything back as it is supposed to be if told to do so. Without security, with seed key, with SFD, whatever it needs. |
