Drivers for VAG-COM FTDI cable?
Hi, I'm getting difficulties installing a cable for VAG-COM (on win7). When I try to install the serial converter driver (from the FTDI site, which supposedly specifies win7 as a valid base to install on), the install just carries on and on, eventually failing to install because of an 'unknown error'.
I'm posting in the hope that someone has a driver that is known to work with this chipset - the cable is here: ![[Image: 001_zpstiolgtmp.jpg]](http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii594/empiricist1/001_zpstiolgtmp.jpg) Alternatively, could the cable work on XP? I can set up a virtual XP under win 7, but again I would need the relevant drivers TIA |

Unknown drivers =
1. Bad FTDI - defective 2. Bad eeprom 93Cxx - defective 3. Reversed D+/D- Also check the VID/PID Good luck |

All now ok - different ftdi win7 drivers found at gendan and downloaded. Thanks for pointers
