As far as I know, BMW was able to disable used faked FSC of headunit or KaFas.

Just flashed two units with 4.41.1 and business as usual: Flash->Coding->HUET and all works just fine on ID5 and ID6 ECE units.

all aftermarket FSC are being lost when flashing with ANY version, but never heard of it damaging units.

I think this is the case, rather some BMW evil plan to destroy NBT that are being serviced at dealer stations.

I just met 2 times with 2 EVO Istep 11-2022.  I just run EVO on the onbench with ZGW (Same VIN EVO) for about 10 minutes EVO is activated anti-theft (CP activated).
There is also a VIN filter simulator with CP activated.
All 2 EVO are taken from the Vehicle with the EVO equipped from the factory.  I had to downgrade Istep and it didn't lock when running on the test onbench
