I have a retrofitted KAFAS2 module that requires an i-Level update to bring it up to the same level as the rest of the car. I am using the FSC set from the donor vehicle and all are accepted and working correctly, 7E, BE and BF.

Apparently to flash the ECU you have to do something specific to ensure that the FSC stay loaded and accepted. Can someone that knows please advise? 

Do I calculate the TAL using the donor VIN? 
Do I just calculate as per normal and just load the FSC on completion using the donor VIN? 
Do I need the FA from the donor vehicle? 

Apparently someone that knows about OEM FSC codes will have the answer/solution.

@yoodog told me that it can be upgraded but I will need to change the VIN again after and reload FSC. I just don't want to get it wrong and burn the FSC set but I equally want to upgrade the ECU with the rest of the car.

You need a new OEM FSC-set for your car's VIN. All other will not work correctly.

I’ve been told that that is not the case and that it will work, you just need to know how. It’s the how I need to know.

For 7E with activator/emulator, yes.
BE need new FSC
BF nedd new FSC

I appreciate your reply mate but I have been told that it’s 100% possible to update the ECU and still use the donor VINs FSC’s without an emulator and without needing to buy a new FSC kit. I believe it has to be possible as you can surely configure E-Sys to still think it’s in the donor car or manipulate it post flash by changing the VIN in the KAFAS2 and loading the FSC’s again. It has to possible, just need the method to do it.

Anyone got any ideas about this? Surely it must be possible. If there is no VIN check surely when loading the FSC you just need to apply the donor vin?

Like a dog with a bone i'm not letting go. So i have found this with regards to loading FSC into KAFAS2. Has anyone tried it and can anyone confirm it works. I have seen the same process mentioned on various korean sites and forums. Anyone wanna try it and let me know or offer some advice?

And I have success. I have just imported a full FSC set, 7E,BF,BE into a KAFAS2 ecu that had only BE and 7E from factory. I have just successfully loaded and have accepted all 3 KAFAS2 FSC’s on the latest I-Level with no errors. The system is fully functional, ACC, LDW, SLI, PEDESTRIAN DETECTION and FRONT COLLISION WARNING.
