Hello friends. I want to retrofit Gesture Control on my G30 2018. Coding is not a problem, but I have two questions:
1. It needs any wiring to BDC?
2. FZD from G11/G12 will work on G30?

From G11 FZD doesn’t fits, about wiring need to check, but it’s not a problem at all!
My opinion : this function absolutely doesn’t needed, in my car it’s disabled, because when passenger seat in car, and give some gestures once we talking, it’s automatically change song “or any other option which programmed on two fingers option “

Really I suggest to not retrofit it, but anyway it’s my opinion

I quite often use all gestures besides setting audio volume. All other gestures than audio control are picked up perfectly and are quite nice to use in my opinion. I can see the point of Bagum4uk, though. If you use a lot of hand gestures when speaking with someone, then it can confuse the system if hand is in detection range.

I think what we see on our cars currently is the glimpse into the future. This control concept has a lot of room to expand and get really intuitive. In the future, I think we will control most aspects of our driving and multimedia via voice and gestures.

You need to wire additional high speed CAN bus to FZD. (Don't remember which one, but was it CAN4 or CAN2, one of them is already there, another is specifically for gestures).

So it's not plug & play.
