Hello,

I just got a second hand original Icom Next. I tried some readings with ista and all works fine using cable or wifi.
Only the COMM light always stays red or sometimes blinks on orange/red and I wonder why?
I have made some research but I didn't found someone with a similar "issue".
I precise that is set on DHCP in the lan settings and only the COMM light is red, all the rest is green and i don't have any issue to connect or read the vehicle. I tried on 3 different cars and it's the same thing.

PS: If someone has a sort of guide or manual concerning the icom next in interested too!

Sorry but I don't understand the point of your reply...?
Why it stays red when the communication is good then??

COMM = COMMunication (between ICOM and car).

green COMM lights = K-Line protocol is in use
red COMM lights = D-CAN protocal is in use

The 3 cars I tested are F series from 2016 and 2017. Which protocol is supposed to be used for these cars?

F series has D-CAN (or ETHERNET)
E series before ~2007 has K-Line.
