New ETKA 8 Update Solution

As i can see there are many problems with the Update Process from ETKA 7.5 PLUS to ETKA 8.
For those who failed in updating with the previous instructions, please try the following Solution.

Please read the following instructions carefully !
Note: The password is the same as in the first post !

Instructions:
1. You need a working ETKA 7.5 PLUS Installation (Updates min. 1160-686-692-1160)
2. Backup the ETKA Folder (normally on Drive C:\) - then you will have a Fallback Solution
3. Copy setup.exe and ETKA8_Installation.exe from the archive in the ETKA Folder (normally C:\ETKA)
- Needed File in the attached link: ETKA8_Update_Solution.rar
4. Start setup.exe and push the "Patch it" Button - If the process was successful you will get a "Successfully patched!" message.
5. If the system is "Successfully patched!", start ETKA8_Installation.exe and wait until the update process is finished.

If the "Patch it"-Button of setup.exe is greyed out, one of the following requirements is not fulfilled:

In the Button you see the message:
- Already installed. - ETKA 8 is already installed or you tried it before
- No ETKA Files found - You didn't start setup.exe from ETKA Folder
- Already patched. - You already patched the files before (continue with ETKA8_Installation.exe)

In the message box you see the message:
- Can't patch your System. - no writing access to the files (close ETKA or run the programm as administrator)
- Already installed. - ETKA 8 is already installed or you tried it before
- Please rename this File to setup.exe, otherwise it will not work! - you are not allowed to remame the setup.exe files, undo the name change
- This Software require min. Windows 7. - You have to use Windows 7 or 10, ealier Windows versions will not work.

Ask for Password on after you have given REPUTATION +1 and to this post.

Mine crushed while updating. Tried to reinstall and crushed again (blue screen of error). Will reinstall only audi updates and try again.

If the update state of ETKA 7.5 is above 1185-711-717-1185, is there a way to roll back the update state in order to install ETKA 8.0?
The ETKA-UPGRADE-1186-712-718-1186.EXE files on Mega indicate they are too large for download. Downloading these files fail.

Actually mine one is above the version. And I tried to upgrade 8.0, it said successful. But when i open it up, the 8.0 is not working.

That's what happen to me. I have a backup so I still have ETKA7.5, but it has reached its limit of updating. It appears the version of ETKA 7.5 has to be 1185-711-717-1185 when attempting to install ETKA 8.0.

Hopefully someone here can helps us on this. Still waiting!

I managed to install 8.0 with just one brand support (I only used the updates of one brand). It worked and in comparison the installation was really quick. I also recommend this method to other users too, that is to say they only need to support their car or only a particular brand. Save the updates of your brand in a folder in case you need to reinstall this program again. You save space and time.

Friends, I made the installation according to the recommendations of the forum. everything is working perfectly, however, I noticed that in this new version of etka (8.0) I no longer have the photos of the pieces as in the previous version.

Could someone tell me if they took this feature or do I have to enable something?

How do you get the latest Updates for ETKA v8.0? I already tried the "ETKA Updater" but it doesn't work at all maybe because it is only for ETKA v7.5.

So, do I have to install the updates manually or is there some kind of an "updater" for ETKA 8.0?

(I got the latest update for Volkswagen too 193/70, but still no luck for this VIN)
