Guys,
This is the first time that I'm tring to install ETKA. I have a working setup of ELSAWin on my VM.
The OS is Win7 32bit.

I installed it, as shown on the first post but I get a "PATH not found" error. Also the updater is showing a dead link.

Can someone tell me what is the easiest OS to use and the right procedure to install and update it?
The machine should be connected to internet or not?

Hello, I have Etka 8.0 from the start post of planet-fireball
installed successfully. Unfortunately, I can not install updates because the update link on the desktop contains no data.
does anyone have a current update link?

For anyone who had already tried to update to ETKA 8.1 and can't finish the setup, here is a possible solution.





1. Prerequisite:  The folder "C:\ETKA\PROG\IX\" is available in your ETKA Folder.

2. Copy the contents of the folder "C:\ETKA\PROG\IX\PROG\"   to   "C:\ETKA\PROG1\" and overwrite the existing files.

3. Copy the contents of the folder "C:\ETKA\PROG\IX\DATA\"   to   "C:\ETKA\DATA\" and overwrite the existing files.

Now ETKA 8.1 should start without any problem. Maybe the solution for missing user data has to be done now.


I did this but nothing still the same
I don't have my ETKA in C: I have it in D: maybe that's the problem?
I did the copy/paste things....

Same with me...tried to copy those files as described, but when executing the file "ETKA81_Installation.exe", system still says "No ETKA8 found on this system"...

Update: after a few attempts it finally says that I have to upgrade to Vista Ultimate SP2, although I am running Win7 Ultimate 32bit...so same problem as already some other users had. I AM NOT WILLING TO INSTALL WINDOWS VISTA   (just kidding)

I did, but this only leads to download the "ETKA81_Installation.exe"-file. And when I execute this one, it now says "install Windows Vista"...
