Kess BMW E90 Wrong Protocol? Kline?

Hi Fellas,

Again a problem while reading out a BMW E90 320d / 2005 / 110kW-150pk M47 engine

Had also a 318D to do at the same time, succeed without ny problems(2007 EDC17)

So when I looked at KSuite 2.47, I didn't find the model in the list, only the 163ps also M47 / EDC16C35 / prot 164

So I checked on Ksuite 2.23 and there I found it. But as EDC16C31 and protocol 159

I tried to read the ID, get a fault saying, "Wrong protocol, use protocol 164"

So I tried tried the other one @163ps, read the ID and the same message appears "Wrong protocol, use protocol 164" while I choosed 164.

Then I tried it with Ksuite 2.47, choosed the 320d 163ps prot 164

And again "Wrong protocol, use protocol 164" wile I used the 164

I have a backup tool, Chinese green PCB, did also the same on both softwares, checked different cables and stuff, no changes.

What also was "weird", the 318d e90 that I did at the same time.

Kess RED PCB EU version couldn't perform any read of the ecu or ID, then I toke the Green PCB one and job cleared reading and witing in 10 minutes... :s

Im most considering about the fault "Wrong protocol, use protocol 164"

I also reinstalled the both softwares and tried several times again, no changes every time "Wrong protocol, use protocol 164"

Is it something knowed allready by you fellas...?

on 2005 there will be EDC16 if k-line told you wrong protocol chose can-bus

Well that's what I did, I tried to read it out by Can.. Not by Kline

Now e few minutes ago I found this while I was searching some info:

It says for "Diagnostics use till 2007" on BMW...

Maybe I was wrong from the beginning by not using this adapter and read Kline instead like I did by Can cable :s  fail

this adapter is only for simple kline interface with bridge from pin 7 to 8 to have kline on both pins
you tried to change pullup in settings??

This ECU Need via Kline and in Setup pull up resistor 225ohm
